LABORATORY FOR
DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING
The signal
processing laboratory is devoted to the
different aspects of digital signal processing,
filtering, non-stationary processing, spectrum
estimation, time-frequency analysis, radar
signal processing, radar imaging -SAR and ISAR
applications. |

LABORATORY FOR MULTIMEDIA
SYSTEMS
The laboratory is equipped
with modern multimedia computers, software packages and
other data processing technology.
Our research has
been mainly focused on intelligent processing of
audio, image and video data. Current research topics
range from secure and privacy enhancing
solutions for multimedia data (digital
watermarking), time-frequency signal analysis
and its applications in multimedia systems, to motion parameters
estimation in video sequences.

LABORATORY FOR
TELECOMMUNICATION
The laboratory
is equipped with
modern-facilities to provide the students an
insight to modern communication systems and test
equipment.
It contains a
separated computer network and devices for
Internet telephony testing - VoIP. The research
within the laboratory is related to the
forthcoming 4G mobile communications and new
generation of wireless internet.

LABORATORY FOR AUTOMATICS
The Laboratory is designed for intelligent
control systems research and control
applications. It is equipped
with state-of-the-art control systems and modern
software development packages that enable
applied research in a number of application
domains such as biomedical engineering,
diagnostics and prognostics, and unmanned aerial
vehicles.

LABORATORY FOR ELECTRONICS
The Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art
test and measurement equipment from reference
producers like Tektronix, Agilent, Instek,
Fluke. Each laboratory bench is equipped with
regulated DC power supplies, high performance
function generators, digital oscilloscopes, PC
based work station, digital multi-meters. All
instruments are networked allowing automatised
measurement, graphics interpretation and
processing. |

LABORATORY FOR ELECTRICAL
MACHINES AND DRIVES
The laboratory
is devoted to testing and evaluation of quality
and design of various electrical machines. It is
equipped with electrical motors, transformers,
and instruments for electromechanical energy
conversion. |

LABORATORY FOR ELECTRICAL
MEASUREMENTS
The Laboratory is equipped with test equipment
electrical measurements and measurements in
electronics. It is used for laboratory exercises
within the courses Basics of electrical
engineering I and II, Electrical measurements
and Circuits theory. |

AMPHITHEATERS
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering disposes
of six Amphitheatres where one of them is of 500
places capacity. |
